Those who wander...

I, Emily, never used to be a traveler, never a risk-taker. I was always careful with my money- looking forward to a future filled with a nice, big house, lots of children, and a stable, albeit monotonous, 9-5 job. When my partner, Brandon, and I met, he had some of those same ideals.

Now, instead of dreaming about a house and a job, we dream about places to see and experiences to be had. Something about Brandon and I coming together ignited a great sense of curiosity, a zeal for different experiences, and a lust for wandering the world around us.

When I am not traveling, I tend to live vicariously through the travel of others by reading blogs, looking at travel sites, and looking at pictures of my friend's and acquaintance's trips. However, most of the blogs I read are focused around individual travel experiences.

Traveling as a couple presents different priorities, opportunities, challenges, and perspectives of which are often rewarding and can be stressful. While I admire individuals who have the courage to travel alone, I am incredibly grateful to have someone whose journey intersects with mine. So here it begins, an account of our experience as a wanderlust couple.
